Benefit Cosmetics Go TropiCORAL Lip & Cheek Kit Review

During the summer on a day trip to the states, I bought Benefit Cosmetics’ go TropiCoral Lip and Cheek kit (since it’s too expensive in Canada!) I have been late on reviewing this, and also reviewing in general late, sorry!

This is a cute compact set that comes with a mini size Cha Cha Tint, High Beam, Coralista Blush and brush, and a Coralista Ultra Plush lip gloss. There’s also a mirror and tips/tricks attached to the sides. I was mainly interested in Cha Cha Tint.

Cha Cha tint is a mango coloured (bright orange)  tint for lips and cheeks, but I prefer using it on the cheeks. Three dots gives a natural flush to my face. On the other hand, I feel that Cha Cha tint doesn’t go on evenly on my lips, no matter how much I try to spread it. I want to refrain from using too much product, since this box set only comes with a mini size version. Additionally, it stains my fingers when I blend the product on lips/cheeks. I do like the lack of shine in this product, so I don’t end up looking like a disco ball.

High beam is great- no complaints there! One of my favourite highlighters. The Coralista blush isn’t as intense as I thought it would be, and it smells great. It looks more peach on my skin than coral, which is fine with me! The brush isn’t as useful, though. A tip is to put the blush after blending Cha Cha tint on the cheeks for a more intense coral glow.  The annoying part is that the blush is attached to the box, so  I can’t exactly carry this to go, unless I carry the box.

I love the Coralista Ultra Plush lip gloss! Sheer and not sticky- with a hint of colour! It’s very mini and great to throw in  my bag or purse. Even though this colour isn’t ‘in’ for the fall season, I like to use it anyway. The gloss could be put over cha cha tint for a more coral colour, but I prefer wearing the lip gloss alone.

Swatch of each product

Overall- I like the value of this set because I got to try different products which is better than buying each product full sized. Although this box set is meant for the summer, I can still use them for the fall as well because it gives a natural, warm complexion. Do you have any thoughts on this boxed set or any of the products inside?
